- Dewatering oily sludge
- Intermediate treatment plant in Japan
Their problem
This intermediate treatment company was considering building a new wastewater treatment facility to treat, on their own, the grease trap sludge, mineral oil effluent, and excess sludge collected from local factories. Since the sludge to be collected from local factories was expected to have a high percentage of grease trap sludge, they were considering the use of an oil-resistant sludge dewatering press.
AMCON’s solution
They decided to employ our VOLUTE™ Dewatering Press, thereby successfully dewatering even waste containing a lot of grease trap sludge. The moisture content was 71.7%, the customer was very satisfied with the good result. We hear that the sludge currently contains a higher percentage of mineral oil than grease trap sludge, but our oil-resistant VOLUTE™ Dewatering Press is operating without any difficulty.
